Why do solar and battery together?
Designing both together gives Rayamp more room to size the panels, inverter and storage for the way the household actually uses power.
Is this better than adding battery later?
For new installs, yes in many cases. The system can be planned as one package from the start instead of being adapted later.
Does my GloBird plan change the recommendation?
Yes. The tariff you are on changes how big the battery should be and when it should charge. Rayamp designs the system around your GloBird plan, not the other way round.
How long does installation take?
Most residential solar and battery installs take 1-2 days, depending on the property, roof layout and any switchboard work needed.
What warranty comes with the system?
Tier-1 panels typically carry 25-year performance warranties, batteries come with a 10-year manufacturer warranty, and inverters are covered for 10 years. Rayamp backs the installation itself with a workmanship warranty.
What rebates and STCs apply?
New solar installs generate Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which are applied as an upfront discount on your quote. Eligible Victorian households can also apply the Solar Victoria solar and battery rebates. Rayamp handles the paperwork.
What about cloudy days and winter?
The system still generates on overcast days, just at a lower rate. Rayamp sizes the panels and battery for year-round performance, so winter months lean a little more on grid or GloBird off-peak windows rather than losing the benefit altogether.
